Job Purpose
Job Requirement
Shall have a recognized B.Sc. Degree in surveying, geosciences, or related discipline with at least 12 years relevant experience in quality management in an in navigation, geomatics or surveying company.
- It is a requirement that the Lead Navigation QA/QC Engineer shall have:
Experience in offshore and/or onshore Navigation and Positioning of SEWOPS, Drilling Rigs, Vessels, (including seismic vessels). Expertise in vessel positioning utilizing latest offshore positioning tools and equipment (Dynamic and Static Positioning)
Expertise in Seabed Mapping, Subsurface interpretation and Charting, Freespan Correction, Surface and Subsea positioning.
Working knowledge of vessel requirements for various classes of surveys in shallow and deep offshore operations
Expertise in Deepwater Seabed Surveys - Geophysical Surveys, Geotechnical Surveys, Pipeline
Route Surveys, Pipeline Inspection Surveys (Water depths ranging from 900m to 1200m)
Ability to perform calibrations and verification of seismic equipment, vessel, and sensors.
o Be able to carry out comprehensive data analysis of acquired data, utilize relevant software to review quality of acquired data and highlight areas needed for focus in ensuring that high quality results are achieved with no negative impact on other linked activity.
Familiar with latest navigation software packages used in offshore and onshore seismic industry such as Havian (Multiseis), CheckPoint, TRINAV, QGIS.

Personnel shall be medically certified fit to work in an offshore environment and in addition possess valid TBOSIET certificate and NUPRC Offshore Safety Permit.
